Family cruise to Tailem Town BACK HOME

Sadly, I was only able to turn up for the starting point due to work commitments; here are some photos I took there. A highlight was a new CV8/R! (Bryan, editor).

We met at the Foodland carpark on Glen Osmond Road Frewville at 10.00 am. The day was icy to say the least with an expected maximum of only 12 degrees. Man it was freeziní!!
There were 12 Monaros and 2 B-cars out on the run, which was a great turnout under the conditions. At about 10.30am, we fired up the beasties and headed up the South-eastern Freeway where we took a detour into Mt Barker, and then it was onto Callington and Murray Bridge for a pits stop. In all, 30+ members were treated to another fine club outing at the discounted price of only $6. The club even put on a free barby with an icebox of free soft drinks and beers being supplied by our new members, Chunky and Kerry Jug who cruised in their brand spanking new Limited Edition CV8-R. Thanks must go to them for their generous donation.
The operator also gave us a look at one of his old films plus a very informative talk on his collection of old gramophones. The old township certainly gave everyone a good look at how people used to live back 100 years or so. If you missed out on this event, we suggest that you get along there at some stage yourself and check it out. Itís well worth a look
